Wow... my head hurts...
there are over 9,000 pages(includes) to rewrite(re-include), to accomplish this task.
I'm thinking I might give up on re-writting what I already have. maybe not...
I have to remove the head, meta, html structure so that this data is not being included multiple times, so i basically striping half of what i've written, out.
There is no going back, having stripped out all the data that make them stand-alone pages.
Re-Writing the php include, eliminating current includes in pages so that each is it's own piece of information...

finally got old, archive of landisreed/wiki to work with new versions of mediawiki, php and MySQL.
Had to create, import, configure the MySQL Db 'by hand' now 'wizards' or phpMyAdmin.
figure out what wasn't working in my old version of media wiki, with new php and mysql, blah, blah, blah.
Once loaded. I know I was just using it to firgure out all the things I could hacked, tweeked, edited,
but... Yuck.

gave in. could not stand, not being able to access my documents from, other than, home.
So, re-registered LandisTwo.com. I WAS going to re-register LandisReed.com, but the fags at GoDaddy are playing some kind of f*cking con.
I checked the availability of 'landisreed.com', whether or not the Chinese still had it after the last expiration and it Was available and for only $0.99..
But, when I tried to register it two days latter, the 'price' jumped to $695.99... WTF you jew scams.
anyways, so i re-registered my secondary domain, landistwo.com...
I think it took more to re-engineer landisreed.com index.php to use on landistwo, than it would have to write several pages by hand, anew.

16.02. I really want to use a wiki, but I don't think I want a database driven one again, like MediaWiki.
If you don't backup the dB or it's corrupt, you're screwed.
I'm going to give PmWiki a try. It stores the articles in a flat file schema. easily archived and edited on or off line.
Besides, it looks and awful lot like my personal choice of minimalist, 'text document' style.
Seems I can always come up with a very cool, attractive site idea for others, but when I get to mine... 'Plain Gina'. looks and smells like a text editor... so to speak.
- Can PmWiki be 'finely searched' using regex as can be done in MySQL select queries?
- PmWiki is stored in a flat file schema, can the files be edited directly (via sftp) and what affect does it have on the wiki?
- Decide (once and for all) is backing up a database all that big a deal?
- look at MediaWiki's MySQL tables and see if the searches are worth the time and overhead of using a db over text file search in PmWiki
- what is involved in Changing the mediawiki tables to include what I want
- Wikipedia is Very slow. The MediaWiki's I've installed are also Slow. Test PmWiki for speed with 100 page (text-file). Load time and regex search.
I've settled on mediaWiki... What a pain in the ass. securing the site, something they don't tell you in any install docs. But, it's up and running.
while working on a project, i came across Phabricator. it's a source version control system, but is also the Best implementaton of mediawiki i've ever seen!

Researching both a 'Forum' package using MySQL for myself and possibly a replacement for LandisTwo.com running WordPress and an option for clients who would like to make 'daily' updates to their own websites (actually for me. I hate making 'little changes'.. I want to set up a website, network (LAN, WAN) and turn it over to the 'owner' for daily maintenance) leaving me to do the backend code and design...
I've tried more than a dozen 'forum' packages over the years.
- I Know I want it to front for MySQL.
- It MUST be modular, or hackable to a point where I can 'include' it in a page as a 'mod', maintaining the look and feel of the site exp: Мой Яндекс search page.
- I 'grew up' on phpbb, which is functionally great, but want it to look more like a 'wiki' or 'reference book' Without having to use 'wikimedia' syntax (code) to format the output
- I Very Much Like the look of drupal's Forum Section. I hope I can use it as a module and Not have to have drupal for the Whole site
- Exception to above: A client site, could use drupal assuming it is as configurable as oscommerce and wordpress on the backend, ie, edit the php directly and not using the 'admin' interface the client would use to add content.
- Most people have heard of Wordpress and I know it has a ton on 'themes' and 'plugins'. I am very familiar with it's php back end and I have no problem hacking (customizing) it in kate via konqueror (ftp filemanager), notepad++ etc.. And the client seems happy enough, But... there is Always people like me who do Not want someone else's theme.
- Another thing, It can Not' be a separate 'entity' from main site, this is a major dislike of wiki's, they look like a 'wiki' This goes with my 'mod' type package. I Don't want 'another site' to manage. Has to be 'part' of the main site.
- Again, I very much like the Forum Section of Drupal's website. Hope this package can be 'plugged into' a sites main page ('included' {php}).
- Xoops is a really nice looking package, but to go from default install to what you see at xoops is Way too much work, so it seems.
- I found a 'new' opensource CMS concrete5.org. It's pretty nice for those that don't code. I have it installed at on Landislls.us, set up and edited without reading a single 'how-to'. Nice!
- TexTPattern is a really nice and clean looking and seemingly easy to use CMS
- One of the most 'beautiful' implementations of mediawiki i've ever seen has been incorporated into the docs section of Phabricaotr and a nice flatter piece by Gregory Szorc

- i Only use Linux (mostly openSuSE, SuSE and KDE4 (kde5 is gaycentric crap)).
- my servers are; SuSE or CentOS. my routers, cache and dns servers are; smoothwall (based on CentOS which is based on redhat).
- my preferred editor is a utf-8 editor called SublimeText3 on KDE, it was kate.
on microsucks Windows, notepad ++ or htmlkit { i used to code for it } - i only use, but am Not limited to mozilla nightly not these betas, but from dev nightly, public ftp (05.05.12, i just installed google chrome to see how my css3, html5 looked in it... nice) i hate google all most as much as facebook and mircosucks, but i have to say, my pages look even nicer in chrome than mozilla nightly Aurora.. hmm
2019 - I've had it with the gaycentric snowflakes at Firefox. They have totally DESTROYED firefox with their sick desire to be a Chrome wannabe 'smartphone' looking POS. - i work Only live on the internet. Never 'locally' with gaycentric 'web dev' apps that need to 'publish'
- to work 'live' i use konqueror (kde file manager) and again, SublimeText using the web server drive as local drive via stfp (sshd)
and so on... pretty nice as i can start a page (edit) on my main workstation, go to garage for a smoke and coffee, work on the same page there, cop a seat and watch The Five at 4 while continuing to edit the same page, material, site on my laptop...

Here's how I 'fixed' that:
search openSuSE or whatever your distro.
- download 'chromium-ffmpeg-exrta' and add to your (already configured, local repo).
- install chromium-ffmpeg-exrat, i use zypper.
- in terminal (tty console), navigate to /usr/lib64/vivaldi/
- create a symlink to the chromium ffmpeg lib
$ ln -s /usr/lib64/chromium-ffmpeg-extra/libffmpeg.so libffmpeg.so - exit and restart Vivaldi.
- Done. Test here...

This Add-on puts a 'Ying-Yang' style 'recycle' button on toolbar that allows you Restart FF as if you had installed un-installed an addon without having to Quite and then Start. as there is None in the 'headtag01' page, because you can Not have 2 'style' sections, hence the test of including a second css below
